One-to-one lessons focus on the development of your repertoire, technical skills and musical confidence. Strings, brass, wind and voice students have an additional allocation of time with a professional accompanist or coach. Group classes concentrate on presentation skills, orchestral or band repertoire, ensemble work and performance practice. There are a range of specialist classes for students of composition and creative music technology. Professional work placements are an increasingly important feature of the course, helping you create useful employment networks and build your CV. The range of opportunities reflects the diversity of the music profession covering performance, studio work, events management, broadcasting, teaching and community outreach. There are also opportunities to study for three months at one of the college's European partner conservatoires."
